One day we might pay for each email

When we raised the price of cigarettes, were the children discouraged from smoking? Why then do telcos propose that we should all pay a few cents for each email we sent? Bill Gates of Microsoft proposed that people aught to pay per email, as a way of discouraging spammers. Jonar Nader hits the roof, and explains why spam ought to be the responsibility of the service providers, and he explains that it is very easy to stop spam. Alas, it is in no-one’s interest to do anything about it. It’s all about money. Jonar Nader speaks with Walkley-Award winning journalist Ghassan Nakhoul. This broadcast is spoken in Arabic.
