The day will come when helpdesks will disappear, simply because everyone will realise that they are useless. In fact, they were never established to help anyone in the first place. Helpdesks were born as a result of organisations dishing out sub-standard products and misinformation. They are a serious liability… impersonal, impractical, unhelpful, and downright infuriating.
