From the Lose Friends series, here is what Jonar Nader has written about: STAFF SUPERVISION
A smile sweeps across my face every time I read a job advertisement that says, ‘Candidates must be able to work unsupervised’. Regardless of where this statement came from, I would suggest that we need employees who can work while supervised. Supervision is a fine process of overseeing the operation to ensure that the whole team is on track. Megalomaniacs think that they can keep their finger on the pulse through monthly reports. Monitoring an organisation’s health through written reports is akin to staring at the bandage, instead of listening to the heartbeat.
