I was walking past a fire station in New Zealand and noticed that next to each truck was a series of boots, through which the trousers were already threaded. A fire-fighter could jump into the boots, and then pull the overalls up. The jacket and the helmet are also within reach. I guess someone worked out that such preparedness could save a few seconds, and this in turn could save lives and property. Well done. The motto of the Scouts is ‘Be prepared’. This is a living example of it.
